Hey Guys,

I am just curious. Do any of you guys prefer Scandi Grinds over a "V" edge, for Bushcraft? I personally think that a Scandi is better for carving and easier to sharpen, making it a better Bushcraft knife over a "V" edge knife FOR ME.
That's why I always carry a Helle, or a Mora. If I was doing heavy chopping or battoning I would just carry my Gransfors Bruks SFA, or a Fallkniven F1. The only time I really like a full flat grind is on my EDC knives. What do you guys think?

I've played with a few 1/8" thick Scandi ground knives and found them to be great wood carvers. Even when not shaving sharp, they made wonderfull curls and bit deep. But other then wood carving, they weren't good for me.In the kitchen, bleh!

IMO as a dedicated wood working blade, Scandi is good! For anything else, I'll take the normal edges.

I really like scandi grinds for carving but not much else so I carry both, scandi for carving, flat grind for everything else.
