Let me know what you think....

I love it. Most kydex sheaths have the handle ride much higher than I like. The belt loop is often mounted below the gaurd. I just end up sticking the whole knife in my pocket or pack.

Nice work

Marion made it for me and he did an awesome job on it. I love it.
I highly recommend his work.

I like it. The deep firesteel holder is a neat, and new touch.

That was my first firesteel holder, and it was a bit of a challenge. Junkyard wanted it to have good retention, and I was having some difficulty with that, but I figured the trick out.

Looks great Marion! Another recommendation is to shorten the firesteel loop so you can use some shock-cord as a lanyard stretched from the handle down around the other end...as you use your firesteel, it will loosen in diamter, but the shock-cord will still keep in secure.

Shock Cord. Now, why in the hell didn't I think of that *smacks forehead*.

That's a good lookin sheath MDP

I have seen that shock cord method, and I would say that I would prefer that.

But, Junkyard wanted what he wanted, and he is a hard man to refuse....

PS - If he needs, I will cut the bottom off the holder, and he can shock cord it...

If you strike in the same area every time, it won't loosen for a long time - about half way through...

Yeah, ever since I tried striking Rick's way (using only the bottom tip), the steel won't loosen for a long time either. Both ways work, (I wasn't bashing yours Jason), I've just always been looking for that extra bit of insurance for my short loops and ROCK6's method was something I'd never thought of.

Good work guys
