Picked this guy up tonight.

Initial thoughts: Very sharp, well built and beautiful.

Nice Score! Thanks for sharing the photos! Are they readily available now?

Many folks over in W&SS have been waitting for these to become available. Who has them in stock?

maple burl
Not just maple burl, but spalted maple burl. That's where the pretty lines and lighter/darker regions come from. Inherently more expensive, since mother nature doesn't always like to play along. But ain't it beautiful when she does?

I'm fascinated by the grind. I look forward to hearing about the particular reasons for choosing that height.

this knife isnt very spyderco-ey and im not sure if i like that or not. i feel like most of spydercos knives have a very distinct spyderco look to them, hard to explain. dont get me wrong its a beautiful knife, but its not typical spyderco. looks more like a custom.

Must be because most Spydercos have a thumb ramp. The ones that don't, really stand out.

I may have to go hungry, and without heat to get this one. It calls too me. I love O-1 BTW. Great stuff!
