recieved several photos of my Woodlore style knife today, here are some photos

Looks like a nice sturdy knife :) :) . I like the wood the handle is made of. Pair it with a good axe and you`re ready for the wilderness.

Ron, I like the design for a user and the overall workmanship appears to be near-flawless. What size stock is the blade?

Very nice knife... way too nice, actually. You'll never use it ;) :D

Blade: 4 1/32 inches
Thichness: 5/32

WoW, nice looking knife, I really like the look of that wood. I heard great things about S30V.

BTW: It looks to pretty too use :D

Can't wait to hear how it performs.

What is the sheath like?

What kind of grind?

Here is a picture of the sheath I found on the site, In his discription its says Bushcraft Scandinavian Grind. The picture sure looks like its a "0" grind scandi.

Looks like a good sturdy knife with good utility to it. Andf she's a looker as well good purchase there

Don't forget to give some credit to Ray Mears, it's his design. I love this
knife, in fact I'm having another maker make me one! I'd buy one of Rays but the exchange rate plus shipping makes the knife about $300.00 or more and there's a huge wait for them from England.

Linger did a superb job and even the sheath is a dead on replica.

Very nice. Love that handle.

Place is dead on.

This is an exceptionally good copy of the Ray Mears Woodlore knife. Woodlore now have three different types of this knife available. The original one made by Alan Wood has a massive waiting list of about twelve months and maybe longer as Alan recently injured his back. He is back at work now but has a fair bit of catching up to do.

Wilkinson Sword also make two versions under licence to Ray a full production model with a micarta handle and a semi production hand finished model with birdseye maple handle.

Personaly if I were going to buy one I would go for the Alan Wood model and put up with the waiting list. I have to say it's a shame about the exchange rate for you guys, good for us but not so good for you.

Cracking design though the single bevel edge lends its self to wood carving and bushcraft chores, it's not too bad at camp chores but I have to admit that it's not so great at skinning. I carry a Gene Ingram shortcut for that particular chore

Very nice knife you have there though.

Cheers,

Tony from the little island that used to run the world before you guys :D . (UK not part of Europe yet thank god).
