I love my northstar but i would realy like one in s30v. Does anyone know a maker that would be a good canidate for this type of project. I would love to get as close to the northtstar as possible, (same grinds etc.) with s30v and textured g 10.

Allso, I was wondering if anybody has handled a simonich salish (mid-tech series), or if anyone could speculate on how it would perform for bushcraft or general camp chores.

i also have a northstar with osage handle scales... it is an awesome knife.. i really like it.....:D it matches my osage longbow very well....

i actually just got my first knife with s30v steel.. it is a gene ingram #30 litebush... it is a beauty... it has a 3.5 in. s30v blade with desert ironwood scales and black micarta spacers... it is a perfect utility/bushcraft knife, complete with firesteel loop on the sheath.... the sheath is outstanding by the way..... http://geneingramknives.blademakers.com/
