I went choiless because I was scared to lose too much cutting edge. That's a really good question... one I haven't answered for myself yet.
I went choiless for my order, but I was debating. I figure if I don't like it, I can always get my money back out of it on the exchange and order one with a choil. But I think I'll like it just fine... as long as I can put my thumb on the spine as a guide and there is cutting edge under the first knuckle of my thumb, it'll be perfect for me. Don't know why I like that in a knife... just what I'm used to.
I think the CABS will make a great bushcraft knife. My second choice would be the BAD.
