Just different variations of old belt knife concepts going back to ancient times.
As the title states .are bushcraft knives modern or traditional ,is the style traditional and the bushcraft
Term a modern concept .
The concept of taking a fixed blade, and marketing it as "bushcraft" is a modern one. It was only recently that marketing departments tapped into the idea that they could sell people a separate "special" knife just for when they went outside for some outdoor recreation. Brilliant, actually.
"Take that old knife and call it 'bushcraft." We wont be able to make 'em fast enough!"
