Finished these up today....a bunch of Canvas Micarta and 3V Bushcrafts.....standard issue stuff....:D

2 in Stabilized Curly Spalted Koa (1 with an "old-school" blade profile - bottom one)

...and 1 in a very, very nice Curly, Two-Tone Black Ash Burl...also stabilized....RARE! :eek:

The Black Ash burl made me pretty nervous to work on....I have been saving that piece for a couple years...for just the right time!

Those wood handles are especially gorgeous, Dan. Great work. The black ash definitely stands out, I don't think I'd have to guts to cut on that. :eek: :D
 
I am assuming that there are no more like this available? either natural canvas or wood? I really really want one and seemed to miss the last run. anything i can do to get one now?

What angle are those ground at? I was making a scandi knife myself and it dosnt look right. that is 1/8th right?
 
Munky88 - they are ground at 12.5 degrees each side. The steel is oversize 1/8"....coming in at around 0.140-145" or so.
