Hi folks!
I recently broke down and ordered a Bushcraft Northwest blade, their model BCNWO1. It was only a week ago or so that I ordered it, and it arrived today! Mike Lummio, the designer/maker of the blade and owner of BCNW, was a pleasure to deal with. We spoke via email on several occasions and he was very forthcoming with details about the knife and production time.

I wanted to share a few still shots and basic thoughts here, but I've also put together a couple of video reviews that I hope you guys enjoy. It's a two part review, the first is a 'close up' indoors, and the second is in use outside. It was originally all outside, but I messed up on a close up and didn't have the knife in the shot! (Hence the abrupt beginning of the second part.)
The blade is very handsome, and comes with a nicely fitted JRE leather sheath. The blade is 5/32" O1 and ~3 5/8" long. OAL is roughly 8", handle thickness ~7/8". Handles are a bamboo composite, and very comfy! The overall size is very good for my hands, as is the blade length. It's got a bit of heft and is very controllable and comfortable.
This knife is extremely well detailed. The grinds are even, and the cuts are all true. The slabs are perfectly equal and fitted without any gaps at the tang. Even the thumb scallops are evenly grooved. The pins don't have the common 'halo' around them either.
The quality was of high enough degree that I breezed past it to see how well it performed!
The edge came in respectable shape, but had a bit of a burr. I used a stone to smooth things out and then stropped it, and produced a shaving edge in no time.

Thanks folks, take care!
