Bushcraft Sheath ideas.....?

Howdy folks. I'm diggin my Bushcraft knife. Personally I am very happy with this purchase despite all the talk about the seconds. Have any of you come up with anything interesting/original to do with the sheath? Here's all I have come up with so far:

I'll try to describe the rig in case it's not clear - I wrapped plenty of orange 550 paracord around the sheath, stretched a ranger band over the paracord to hold the firesteel, on the firesteel lanyard is a LED photon light and striker, the rig is carried on a Baldric rig that I made with orange and brown paracord so the knife can be taken off and on easily. Oh, and the knife fits into the sheath so deep that I had to tie a lanyard on the knife to help give something else to pull to draw the knife out of the sheath.

I did the same thing, with an orange paracord lanyard on the butt of the knife to help draw it. I weaved the lanyard directly onto the knife, though, so I wouldn't have to girth hitch it in place. It makes it a bit more rigid, because the lanyard is right up against the butt of the knife.


I'm thinking about trying to figure out a way to flare the ends of the protective plastic insert in the sheath. Occasionally, the tip of the blade will catch on the outside of the insert, making it a bit annoying to insert the bushcraft into the sheath.

I made a kydex sheath for my bushcrafter and gave the leather one it came with to my uncle. Not the best picture but it was dark outside when I took it.
