Playing around today when I was making a hand drill set for someone. On a good day with a slightly longer spindle I am pretty sure I can get it in one pass...

Holy cow Abo.....Thats impressive.
You suck. :p

I didnt have sound on the video, what kind of wood combo was that?

Friggin awesome bro.

Thanks my friend! Mullein on Boxelder, one of my favorite combinations, mostly because mullein is everywhere and boxelder is in many states.

I like something a little faster. This pump drill is primitive fire making on steroids.

I harvested 5 or 6 stalks of Mullien for hand drill.....How much pressure is actually needed??....Probably hard to explain that, but I thought Id ask. Ive seen nobody rock a hand drill like yourself.

Whoa....Thats crazy looking.....Doubt I could make that in the bush though.......

Excellent!! My bushcraft partner can get a coal in 20 seconds...all I get are hand cramps.:D

Quite a bit do get a quick coal. I can do the same speed with just a little less pressure than to get a coal, and the dust will be light colored. That extra bit of pressure turns it black. Kinda like 211*F and water; all you got is hot water. One more degree... you got steam, and that can power a locomotive!
