Hello there,

I was browsing my own little "dealer market" and discovered that there is a Spyderco Buscraft knife coming out very soon (if it hasn't already hit certain places), but at the very least it's new to me :o I did a search for "bushcraft" under the spyderco forum here and didn't find any results, so I'm just posting this picture up to see what you guys think, supposed to be in stock around late November/early December, but I'm sure some places already have them:

Personally I want half a dozen to my self :D What are your feelings on it?

edit to add: Here's the stats for it:

Specifications
Overall Length (inches):8.75
Blade Length (inches):4.09
Blade Material:G-1
Blade Detail:Plain
Handle Material:Wood, Maple Burl
Carry System:Leather Sheath

Indeed that's a knife that was made for my tastes. Simple quality tool steel, scandi grind, and Maple Burl. I couldn't have designed one better for my tastes if I tried. I love O-1 for this purpose, and this kind of knife.

Ooh, that looks nice :)

I wonder why my search didn't pull it up

It is a scandi grind right? It almost looks hollow in that first set of pics...

It is scandi, or more correctly, nordic ground...

But, all pedant-iscism aside, it is a bushcraft style piece....

Yeah, for some reason, searches were not working for me either, but I knew where to go for the threads...

G-1?

You mean O-1 right?

Besides that I love the styling of the bushcraft & will probably pick one up whenever I get the chance. Its nice to see a Spydie with wooden scales. :D

Didn't even notice that liner till you got me looking for it.
White plastic, bottom three inches or so, appears to be glued in.

I feel my wallet getting slim again. Sure do like those splated maple handles. That O1 steel is suppose to be real good to. Looks like they got another winner!
