I'm looking for something like the koster bushcraft that I can order and receive within a few weeks. I want a scandi grind, nice leather sheath with fire steel loop. Are there any makers that I can order from with a decent turn around? I'm going camping a the end of month and would like to have the knife by then. Maybe someone who isn't really popular yet? I would also like the steel to be 3V.

I know knives ship free has Kosters in stock but I don't like those handle materials.

Woodbear knives. He does great work at reasonable prices and his turnaround is fast.

Check out Ivan Campos, a Brazilian cutliero who does a lot of business around the world. I have one of his Scandi grinds in 1070, and it is past scary sharp. (Kris Klammer of Edmonton handled it in ivory ebony.) Ivan also works in other steels, might be willing to work in 3V, but 1070 is extremely tough (think: machetes and shovels) and well suited for a bushcraft blade.

the JK trapline in scandi comes to mind. AA was mentioned. Adam's bushcrafter is outstanding. however, 2 weeks is a pretty quick turnaround for custom makers. might want to keep an eye on the exchange. fiddleback forge also does a sale every Friday. Andy typically lists some scandis each week.

scott gossman also has a site with knives available. not sure he has any scandis but his polaris model might be a good fit.

good luck and have a great trip.

Fiddleback Forge posts theirs up every Friday and ship the following week. You'll need to order a sheath on your own, but there are a couple leather benders, named in his weekly post, who could start a sheath even before you order a knife.
He lists bushcrafters and bushfingers, both scandi and convex, nearly every week. Has others that work well, but you can't really predict when they'll pop up.
Just re-read OP. I don't think he works in 3V much. Usually O-1. But the knives are fantastic. And his handles are out of this world.

Good luck, have fun, and enjoy the trip.

His M5s are classic spear blades

Or this drop point Bushcraft style
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1074975-Bushcraft-knife-Relist-Price-drop-SOLD

His zero grinds are screaming sharp and stay so with just stropping
The balance of his knives are excellent
He adds a leather sheath with or without a dangler, or in kydex
Speak to him about handle thickness
I really like his walnut and patina finish

He might well manage two weeks

I highly recomend his work

Those knives do look great. I actually just bought a slightly used Karhu made by woods bear knives. It'll be here next week! For the price I think I'll pick up grey wolf too. The grinds look excellent. Thanks for the heads up on those.
