I'll admit it, I want a cool looking knife, "tacticool" if you will but still want it to be bushcraft worthy. Is there such a thing?

Something with a kydex type sheath that doesn't need a retention strap, single hilt, what's out there? Don't say BK2 cause I have one and it's too heavy imo.

Thanks

I suggest you armcurl the Beastk2 over and over until it AINT ''too heavy'' then go out and bushcraft the heck out of it! ;)

ESEE. 4 Just got the one and when I unwrapped the sheath system it was like someone was yelling TACTICAL right in my face (still haven't got it configured how I want it, too much MOLLE for a civilian like me).

Nah, the little grip is too short for someone with man hands to get a full hold.

Wait a few weeks and order an ESEE LS, it's definately a tacticool bushcraft knife!

Last time I checked I had all the right equipment down there and it fits my hands just fine, it's worth checking out IMO. The choil makes for nice options too.

Another vote for BRKT Bravo-1, and ESEE-4. A Fallkniven S1 or Swamp Rat RMD would work too.

The Applegate-Fairbairn EDC looks awsome! I never new of it and thanks for suggesting it.

I also just learned about the new BK16 and BK17 from Becker. I plan to buy both as soon as they become available.

BRKT STS-5, yes it's tacticool but it's also very well designed for most 'bushcrafty' tasks I do. Look at the pic, it even batons:

Also my Busse DSSF is pretty tacticool but I'll be damned if it don't work well in the bush.
