Bushcraft vs Bushmaster?

I want to pair either a new bushcraft, or bushmaster up with a knatchet for multi week solo camping/backpacking trips this summer and beyond. Which knife would you rather pair up with a knatchet to be the most versatile and dependable? Ill be cleaning fish, carving stuff, and all around general outdoorsy types of things. Ill probably get a muck too for trips when I decide leave the knatchet behind but that's a whole different story.

Thanks!

Definitely a BushMaster. Better all-around and fairly lightweight.

I vote for the Bushcraft. Smaller and more compact and has a sharper point.

Well I just picked up a bushmaster from KSF but your pics make me want both now! Ive never had a scandi ground knife and have heard they were more prone to chipping which helped sway me to the bushmaster but now I have some thinking to do.......

Thanks for the pics, thats some beautiful wood

Well they are more prone to chipping but Dan makes them in 3v and as far as the chipping factor 3v doesn't really chip. The one in birch above is 01 and it's probably more prone to chipping than the 3v but in use I've never had any problems with it chipping.

But the 3v is probably the ideal zero degree scandi steel because of the chipping resistance.
