Bushcraft Ways

Thanks,
Still working on it though. Any idea or suggestions? right now i'm working on a section for procuring water.

Burchtree has a great idea, you should include the variations of traps and snares. Cover that and the very basics of wild edibles, (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=305942) and you will have food basics covered. Since you already did fire and shelter (very well I might add), all you have left is water to cover the basic 4 for survival.

If you want to drill down on specifics, you could inlcude a list of materials good for fire by friction. You could also do a section on cordage, food preservation, stone tools, tanning, water purification, etc. Basic navigation would be good too, very few websites or survival manuals address navigation beyond the north star if they even include that.

I really like learning and using primitive skills, but I also take advantage of technology as well. For me, that's why I like your website. Again, looks good. :)

Thanks for the ideas, when I finish up water, I will include a page on traps and snares and some basic edibles.

Thanks

Well, I personally consider a gun mandatory for a survival scenario, but if you think that's cheating, you may want to include a section on making bows & arrows.

Maybe also a section on how best to process & cook the game you harvest with improvised methods.

Great job, very nice site. I agree that primitive hunting tools like a throwing stick, bow, arrows, fire hardened spears, etc., would be a great addition to your site. Ancient methods for fabricating fishing hooks, nets and traps would be good too.

Cool site, I really like the information on the figure four trap. One of these days I need to try to make one of those.
