That golok thing he's modded there is a real beast. It might look light the #2 at a glance but they're hugely different. I've never bothered trying to mod my remaining one 'cos it is just such a lump. Interesting to see where he took it though.

Interesting that he has a soft spot for bow saws and billhooks too. Not so happy about where he's seems at on the EDC though.
 
The information on purifying water with chemicals is contrary to the advice of the U.S. C.D.C., U.S.E.P.A., Wilderness Medical Society, U.S. Surgeon General, U.S. Red Cross, and U.S. military. I think it's safe to say it's wrong to the extent that he claims that regular chlorine (as opposed to chlorine dioxide [Aqua Mira]) or iodine is reliable for killing protozoans (giardia or cryptosporidium). Today it's boil OR commercially filter and add chlorine or iodine OR use chlorine dioxide (up to 4 hr. wait) OR use sawyer .02 micron filter.
