I got a gen III Bushcrafter blank from Dan a little while ago, and I plan to put some micarta scales on it. Dan has already driled the blank for two 7/32" pins (as measured using a drill bit as a gauge). I ordered some 7/32" brass rod to use as pins, but it doesn't fit the pre-drilled holes! With a digital micrometer, the brass rod measures out to 0.22in (>7/32" but <15/64")). My pin material is 3/100" too big.
So my questions are: where can I get some accurately sized pin material? Are there Corby bolts that would be easier to use? Should I try to drill the holes out to 15/64" and use the rod I have? Or should I try to resize the rod to fit the existing holes?
Thanks in advance.
