Well the title is about as up front as I could get.

Anyways, I was wondering for those of you with Bushcrafters, what sheath do you use? Recently the belt loop of the leather sheath that came with mine broke and I was wondering if there was anything else out there? Maybe something not necessary meant for the Bushcrafter but it fits anyways?

Thanks!

Hi Cutwater,

I purchased a FB Bushcrafter earlier this month and the sheath that came with it was made by Heber (wildmanh). The sheath seems quite well built and compliments the knife well. In fact, I have commissioned him to make me a sheath for the FB Hunter that I am soon to receive. He was polite and patient and replied to my emails not with just one or two word replies, but with paragraphs explaining the options and so forth. From my perspective these are pretty good standards.

You might get in contact with him and see what he can do.

If you are looking for a quick, got-to-have-it-now replacement, you might try the "Bravo-1 Leather Loveless-Style Pouch Sheath" at KSF. I have one of the sheaths still new and it fits the FB Bushcrafter just fine.

Sincerely,
Mark

I like horizontal carry for my bushcraft blades

Those are pretty nice. Looks like the firesteel holders are removable on the two small ones. Is that correct? Also, how do you wear the sheath (on your left-front with the cutting edge facing the ground)?

Cutwater, I have Basic Heavy Duty Bushcrafter sheaths instock and ready to ship. $47 delivered. They are just like the one in Mark's recent thread. I personally use a Bushcrafter sheath with another knife and a 3" for my Fiddleback Carver. I pulled some production sheaths from stock to use and no problems here. If your interested, let me know.

The Other jents mentioned in this thread are also good. :) Figure out what you want and there will be at least one of us that can hook you up!

I believe that he posted "Bushcrafter" folks not "Bushfinger" folks!!! ;) ;) ;)

I have a pattern for Andy's 3", 4" and 5" blades so I'm covered there if the OP wants one of my sheaths.

I will post my Bushcrafter sheath I am finishing for Knute this weekend when done. I will post a WIP post in a few hours. Right now I am gluing in the welt.

yep exactly, when I am in the woods I usually carry a sidearm strong side so having access to the blade cross draw works best for me

Tal,

You going to post some pictures of the Bushcrafter sheath? I might be interested in ordering one...Maybe with a firesteel loop?
