I really like my Bushcrafter but I've recently decided to stop carrying a firearm into the woods so I want a knife that can also be pressed into defensive use if the need arises. Has anyone tried stabbing with their bushcrafter? Is the gaurd and handle ergos enough to keep the hand from sliding onto the blade. I would try myself but I'm a little accident prone.:D

just go stab somthing............ fruit, old clothes, old shoes, plywood ;ect.
go buy a fillet glove just incase

I can't see it being an issue, though it depends how strong your grip is.

No question the knife would perform well at stabbing. I hever have other than stick it in a long when not using it for a few minutes.

do what the Finn's do when stabbing with a Pukko...hold your little finger pst the end of the handle and roll it up. So that it cn stop your hand from moving forward.

do you have the 2009 Bushcraft model with the bigger guard?
