Not quite done yet. Just wanted to show you guys this handle. The knife is my Bushcrafter Jr. 5/32" thick 01 steel. 4" blade, 4" handle. Convex.

The handle is Osage and Blackwood with a red liner and the pins are an SS corby Bolt, SS tube and Mosaic pin.

I've still got to clean up this blade and sharpen it and mark it too.

FB, I keep coming back to this post and staring at that handle... It is awesome, great work!

Thanks guys. This is the thickest steel I've worked, and it really affected the shaping of the handle. I hadn't expected that.

LOL. Thanks! Not for sale though. Good try!

You make some of the best looking bushcrafters around Andy, that model is my favorite.

I was having this conversation with DFarmer about all the great Georgian knifemakers.

There are a bunch. But I don't consider myself in their league. Check out what Crex does! Whoa.

Andy
That knife is outstanding, the work that you do on the handles is very unique and sets your knives appart from any other maker.Your knives will be something special that a person can hand down to their childern to use and admire. Great work

Thanks guys. Hopefully those knives get used to nubs before grandkids get a shot at em!

yeah - I agree your handles are very distinct. Wonder if there is any way to burn a logo into the handle on one side and teh blade on the other??

Thanks Brian! Never tried burning a design into wood. I wonder if a brand (like cattle) would do it?

Very creative handle and I think the nicest knife you've posted on BF!

IMO I'd like you to continue with more of those  really adds alot of flavour :)

Thanks Spearz. I thought that one was my best work yet also.

Amazing what Andy has wrought from hence was nothing but steel and wood.

Well, to be precise, there is copper and brass in that mosaic pin. And I used epoxy too. And also, the liner is vulcanized fibre. I think that is made from cotton? Either way. There's a bit more than steel and wood in there.

But, Thanks! First post? Tell us about yourself.
