This JK Handmade Knives Bushcrafter is 8" OAL with a 4" blade and 4" handle. The handle is Desert Irownwood with black spacers. Steel is 1/8" O1 with John's well known K treat and a convexed edge that still shaves. This knife comes with the shown leather sheath, but honestly I would look to upgrade as it's a little loose. This will make someone an excellent woods knife, it just didn't fit me once it arrived and I have tried to love it. SOLD

I just obtained this on the Individual sale section, he listed it as a Bushcrafter but it looks like a Kephart to me. John can you tell me which one it is? Thanks for any help and I was just curious and really looking forward to this one.

Thats not a Kephart handle so I'd say Bushcrafter.
Nice score either way.

As to the sheath being loose you could try wet forming it.
There's plenty of vids on YouTube on how to.

Honestly wet forming could fix the problem of the knife sliding out. It's worth trying as it's well made of nice leather.

I'll go back to try and find the thread about that specific knife Craig

Thanks, that may solve the loose sheath, just trying to wet form is something new to try.

YouTube will teach you how to! Just ask for what you're trying to learn! I bet it will work real well!

I don’t remember ever making that style sheath for a Bushcrafter, always a wrap around, but that’s definitely a sheath I made.

That’s the knife that I got from you in a Gathering contest without a sheath.

I traded it for a Bluegill and that’s the only JK sheath that I had for a larger knife.

I was able to switch the sheath with another's I had lying around and it fit better, and the one it came with is now the sheath for a JK clipped hunter I have.
