Well I played with it a bit today, I had a blast. In the interest of time here is a link to my photobucket album. Guest password is kephart. The pictures are posted in order they were taken. I finished the day off by using to cut my steak for dinner. I plan on doing more with it as the week progresses, so I will update the album and post it here when I do.

I'll write something up about it after I am done with it and have shipped it off.

I need you guys to help me think of more tasks to do with it, I'm almost out of ideas as I only have my kitchen and yard to do it in. Enjoy!

Great pics. It looks like you gave it a good workout.
The thing about John's knives that I've noticed is that they "feel" like a well made tool much more than just a knife. When I pick one up I want to work with it.
Do you get this same feeling or am I strange?

Nice review. A knife for many uses and at a good size too. Can't wait to receive mine!

Protourist, we are all strange here. Lol. Seriously, I get what you're saying. I bang around John's knives more than others because the simple, tough assed construction, is begging to be used. Some of my "prettier" knives never, ever leave the safe. Makes me wonder why I haven't sold them yet.

Great pics buddy, looks like ya gave it a good all round workout and it came through with flying colours !!!

Can't believe ya cut your steak with it though after the last guy to have it was shaving hairs off his butt !!!!:barf::eek::D

Odd you should mention it...I actually did. It is definitely a tank of a knife. My grandfather was over (I was at my folks house) and we had an early father's day dinner. My grandfather was looking at the knife and said it looked like it was a "store bought deal"..... I think that means he liked the fit and finish of it all!

Sounds like a compliment to me!

Tomato test

I have not sharpened it since I played with it over the weekend.... it sliced up this tomato with easy. Very nice edge retention.

I love that knife and had a ball with it. I just noticed today though that my son did not transfer my pictures to the new computer that he built for me. He is repairing the old one now and my picture are all on that one yet.

With any luck will have a written review posted by the end of the weekend. Thanks again John for letting me play with it!

Ok.... Barring some kind of natural disaster or something like that, there will be a review tomorrow! Sorry for wait.

great pics Christian.... we have been super busy lately with my son's theater production... i have gotten to play with the knife a bit, i'll try and get some pics up soon... my apologies for lagging...:o
