Bushcrafter tool?

Also i can not find any info on what these knives steels are. What makes these knives better then the ones in amizon for 1/4 or less of the price.???

The pointed tool is called an awl. It can be used for drilling holes in leather, wood, or anything you want. It also works well for striking sparks off of a ferrocerium rod.

Here is a thread on Victorinox steel - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/432870-victorinox-what-type-of-steel

With the bushcrafter you are paying for what you don’t get (the weight of tools you won’t use) and a unique configuration that is only available through Swiss Bianco. If that is not important to you then they are not better than one you can get somewhere else.

I am looking for just that 3 tools. Perferrably a long knife with long saw and would like a file as the third not an awl but i have not found this combo. Is their stainless steel good. Does it chip or roll easy ? Dpes it stay sharp? Does it snap? I am wanting one really bad but have concerns that i cannot find info on the steel.

Yes the steel is good, it performs very well. Watch the video in the link I posted. Also keep in mind that the awl is sharpened on one side… you can use it for cutting too. It is infinitely more useful than the file. Everyone loves the awl!

Didn't know it was sharpened that is a plus. So do they offer ones with better steels? Or are they all the same? I wpuld spend twice as much for a steel upgrade in the knife. I like yhe idea but (and the video wouldnt work this is off what i have read) i think that the knives do not stay sharp long enough to entertain my needs. I was planing it for edc and camp/backpacking. It would do basic bushcraft work and fish gutting along.

Im thinking i am just going to get it amd decide for myself millions of people arnt buying them because they suck.

it still amaze me that there are still people on this planet that do not have an sak. and this in usa as you can get from cheapest used to highest priced ones in all models. i suggest that you minimum try out an ok condition classic and an 91mm sak, then after an while you think back and have an hardest time believing how you could make it for so long without handy sak. then its time to start adding more sak also in limited editions and give some away to people you now who do still not have an sak. that show that you really care about them, chocolate is eaten up fast, flowers dryed out but an sak well cared & with factory warranty will last an longest time.

I have an old sak one that has every tool i believe. just never any of the metal framed ones. Looking forward to it getting here.
