So my 16 and I where sitting around here thinking, we really don't know sh!t about bushcraft. So what would be some good books to read on it? I can read really don't need alot of pics! :D But they would be handy too. Please give a brother a hand.

If you want the bare basics of bush crafting, check the Boy Scout handbook, it shows a feather stick!

But seriously, I think the U.S. Army Survival guide might have some *decent* information on bush crafting, but I don't know how good that info will really be.

Not necessarily all bushcraft stuff, but I love the book, "Wildwood Wisdom". It's basically how the Indians used to do stuff.

EDIT: Adding some Becker content:

Um, Bushcraft by Mors Komchanski.

Uncle Weirdbeard is a huge fan of Mors.

You wanna bushcraft, get with Mors and his book. You'll be one of the bushiest, craftiest fellas on the block, guaranteed.

Cool thanks for the info guys. I just ordered Bushcraft and Wildwood Wisdom. They both look great and I had looked at both of them over the weekend when I was pondering this ?

Got this one a while back - nearly done reading it. Some good stuff in here (and honestly some stuff that probably won't be super relevant - but mostly good stuff)...

many of these are going on my Kindle and/or iPad. given that a Kindle can run for a month, before charging, and charging is a simple matter of USB power levels achievable many ways... seems to be a good idea to have one to hold a vast library of information. my original Kindle doesn't do so well with PDFs, but the new ones are good. the Kindle DX is great. the iPad though, is the King of PDF readers. amazing really. color too.
