Hey folks! Made it out for an overnight trip this weekend. Took my BK16 and BK4 as my tools. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

Carved a dead fall trap entirely with the Machax. Does great fine work in addition to the obvious big chores:

Good to see someone getting out again. I need to do the same. The wife and I were just taking about doing another hike.

Great pics - thanks for sharing.

As soon as I saw the title of this thread I knew there would be Tweener content and most likely, a BK16; I was right and the BK4 content was a bonus!

Thanks again for sharing as I sometimes feel my dirt time and knife usage is done vicariously though the posting of the faithful here.

Of course! The 16 is a perfect bushcraft blade. Even better with a pair of liners to add a little girth to the handle.

Great pics!
Thanks for sharing.
That's starting to look like a well loved Machax.

Great thread...... Looks like you had a great time..... What wood did you make the fuzzy out of?....... Whatever it is it as if it was perfectly aged....... Nice..... Thanks for the kind words and fine pics.....

Thanks E! I think it was eastern white pine. I split down some 3" pieces and the inner stuff was perfect.

What, no armchairs? And you call this a bushcrafting thread.....

Thanks for the pics. Glad to see 'em, nice to see you getting out and using your $#!+.....though I guess I would never refer to any of the Beckers as that, really. It's just an expression - obviously, by all the nicely crafted stuff you made from bush.

Awesome pics; looked like a great weekender. The 4 and 16 are my favorite woods-bumming pair.

CoolBreeze,

Your thread (and pics) inspired me to at least take the 4 and the 16 and put them on the desk near the monitor whilst viewing this thread!:D
