Guys, I'm looking for a little help. Seeing my older Bushfinger in relation to other of my knives, and then see some of the other comparison shots around here, I get the feeling the handle on mine is not only fatter, but also longer than the standard BF. I'd hate to give the wrong impression by using it in comparisons if it's not the same size as the standard. We tend to use the BF as a lot of folks have one.

If anyone has some free time, a Bushfinger, and some calipers handy, could you take a measurement of the handle along the top edge?

Sorry for being so anal.

Modern BF is 4.950. Older rolly polly Scandi BF is 4.842.

I'm not sure what to conclude.

Bushfinger tapered tang from about 2 years ago = 4.69"

I feel variation from hand crafting can account for the differences here.

The Scandi BF I have used to be Nathan's, so he might have a better idea of year of manufacturing than I do. But other than the blade shape, there are marked differences compared to one's made in the last year. Especially in the handle.
