Thank you, Andy, for the blessing in posting this here.

I have a small stack of Fiddlebacks that were acquired (read: sniped on Fridays) pre Heber and Rick sheaths, who both have some stellar products! I wanted/needed some pants for these knives, but I know, and can freely admit, that I'm the pickiest SOB I know! I have some VERY limited experience with leather work (read: unstitched dog leashes and collars) and have some assorted tools lying around. I knew that I wanted to be able to carry with the options of horizontal carry, vertical carry and drop leg (told you I'm picky).

So, after raiding Talfuche's thread on building a sheath (invaluable and many thanks for doing this tutorial!!!), I set out to build this. It is vertical/horizontal/and drop leg and is adjustable from left to right hand. Anyway, thoughts, suggestions, critique, all are welcome and encouraged!

Thanks,
DD

I'd like to say that's very good work! An experienced leather worker would be hard pressed to do better. It can be really tricky doing that stacked welt and making everything work out. I like the way you've incorporated so many carry options in one package, especially both left and right carry. If you decide to do more and have questions, give me a shout.

Thank you, Rick! As much as I enjoyed making that one, you might have just opened a can o' worms. :p I will definitely be doing, at least a few, more. I still have a KE Bushie and 3 Finger Karda to figure out a dual carry for, a Bourbon Street Skinner and a Ladyfinger. I have my work cut out for me. I need to put in an order with W&C soon!

Cool! Looks like you put a lot of thought and effort into it!

I have made two of my own so far; still have to make a handful for rest of my knives.
I love making my own sheaths now!

Hope you had some good fun working on your project!!

I had forgotten to mention that if you decide to get more leather, I'd sure check RJF Leather rather than W/C. Roger Folmar is the owner and he's a great guy to work with. His leather is very consistant, top grade, cuts and dyes with the best. He sells double shoulders which is the pick for sheaths and gun leather. Very little waste and you don't have to buy a whole side. The price for his leather is a wee bit less than W/C and the service is tops. You can contact him by phone at 607-742-8969, tell him I suggested that you call.

I will give him a call, thank you for the suggestion!

blood: Thank you! The overall design had been in my head and on paper, MUCH more than once!
