Been able to get it out a bit with some other blades and have been posting some pics and thoughts.

This knife brings it!

That handle is comfy- no hot spots here! Easiest knife I have doing fuzz sticks, just does the finest shaving I can imagine...

Here drilling with the Koyote GBB. I was wondering how the exposed pommel would feel...didn't even notice it. A pleasant surprise...the benefits of it with no downside!

Great in the kitchen too! I thought the thicker blade would slow it down but the belly and grind acted like a renegade chef's knife!

Gotta like it when you bag a grail! Awesome knife Andy! I'm glad I got a chance for one. I'm a lucky guy...rich in great steel! Here it is with a few friends...

Man thats cool! Love the pics. Thanks for posting!

Beautiful knife man, you're gonna love the Bushfinger, it's a perfect do-all size knife. I developed a serious love for the new Hunter after so much intense use during the course of the last couple of projects I was using it on. While I was in Alabama I met one of the State Park rangers who is also a surivival instructor, on the local SAR team, and an avid Andy Roy fan. He has met Andy at Blade and already owns a one Fiddleback. So...and here all you stalkers can go ahead and get your hating over with...he fell in love with the Bushfinger and after an hour or so of talking to the man the Bushfinger found a new home. Just watching him hold and maneuver the knife it was obvious how he felt about it and since I already have two Fiddlebacks in the rotation and at least two more to get...I really liked the idea of it going to him and being put to good use rather than sitting on a shelf in my closet.

Are we speaking of "the original" Bushfinger Mist? If so, you're a good guy bro! I'm sure that was a hard pill to swallow.

Neato. I like that story!

Cool, it gave me a good feeling. I'm glad you guys understand.

They are just blowing smoke mist they are all as miffed as I am! Never to see the og BF is going to be tough for us but how bad is it going to be for you when you go to get it one day and its not there! OMG I forgot I sold that one I cant believe I did that, and the rest of us will be like yea I cant believe you did it either. But that is the great thing about this country free enterprise you can buy and sell any legal thing that pleases you. I just hope Mr. Ala state park ranger comes on here ever once in a while and posts a pic. Hope you dont regret it B. but if it made you feel good and all that good on ya. OH yea and when FBF blows up big and is taking over the world by storm now he is going to be able to say I got one of the orginal knives that started it all BF #1. lol:)

Oh, I have no regrets, I liked the idea when it came to me and the longer we talked the more I liked it. It wasn't a decision I made lightly. Don't get me wrong, a part of me really liked the idea of just holding on to it for bragging rights of having the original Bushfinger, but I liked the idea of taking the higher road. I know where it is and since he liked it so much and now knows the whole story behind the knife I doubt if he'll be getting rid of it. I have his address and phone number so I could probably arrange visitation :) I hadn't actually met the man in person before that day but as soon as I started talking to him up close and read his name tag I knew who he was. Among his other titles he is one the instructors for Randall Adventure Training. To me the idea of the original Bushfinger being used as a tool to teach others how to stay alive was a much more fitting destiny than a life of occasional rotations and hanging out in my closet. I'm totally at peace with my actions :)
