Getting set up to try using bushings in slip joint.

Typically aluminum bronze bushings are used.

What about stainless steel bushings?

They are used on folders, how would they work on a slip joint?

I think Ron Lake uses 15-5 or 17-4 ph grade stainless, good for this application.

I have some 416 bushing I got from USA knifemaker, I am AEB-L and I was wondering if I polished the pivot hole on the balde and left the bushing OD at 220 if there would be a problem with galling at all?

Not sure, 416 is the free machining grade, should work fine.
