I recently bought this neat little keychain/pocket tool, hand made from 01 steel, and here are my first impressions,
I choose gray kydex, but it's available in many colors, as well as without a handle. It also comes with a keyring, ferro rod, whistle and small torch for a small added price, but i really just wanted the tool.
The gadget itself is small, light, easy to carry, and seems to be a very useful item, being a flint striker, a magnesium rod striker, bottle and can opener, and a screwdriver/package opener.
I've tested so far the can and bottle opener, and it works great, and used with a firesteel it does throw a significant amount of sparks.
I wasn't sure the can opener would work very well, but to my surprise, is quite good. It doesn't really cut the tin, but separates it from the rim very cleanly.
Plus, i love the black patina, carbon steel and hand made look of this little gadget, as it went straight to my keys.
Fit and finish is very good, well, the kydex cutout where the back of the tool rests when opened could have been a bit better finished, but that is nothing a little sandpaper can't fix if desired.
Some pics
