The Bushman is an EDC and tactical knife. This one was forged out of CruForge V and is part of the recently crafted GHF Primitive Series. It easily handled the one-inch manilla rope cut test; then chopped through a section of 4-gauge copper wire and hacked into an epay railing multiple times without damage. So far, I'm really impressed with Cruforge V.

While the Bushman might not cut as well as a blade with a thinner profile or chop as well as a true chopper, it has the ability to do both quite effectively, which I find impressive in a medium-sized knife. The Bushman is also extremely tough. This blade shipped out to a law enforcement officer recently.

The Bushman comes standard with a hardened cord-wrapped handle and a Kydex sheath, but our customer commissioned this knife in black leather; I think he made a nice choice.

The Bushman in Kydex works well with our knife shoulder holster rig.

Jason Knight will now do a demonstration of how it works.

Thank you Jason.

Great knife and sheath

I was never into shoulder rigs but that looks very interesting

That is the knife I carry. I like the rig too. Cromagnon carries the Bushman. Thank you Scott.

yes it is a good knife.

Thanks for the kind comments. I have a really nice, rather large Jason Knight knife that's begging for a shoulder holster rig.

Wow! Really liking your profile lines Scott. Great pictures Lydia, especially like the one of it sheathless, resting on the handgun!

That is a really nice piece - the lines are spot on. Do you offer a version with wood scales, then wrapped over that? I know wrapped tangs are very popular, but I tend to find they feel a little too skinny in hand - a feeling magnified when they are put to hard use. This isn't a criticism - just an expression of a personal preference. Slender scales under the wrap can make the handle more pleasantly palm-filling.

Really nice work.

+1  That blade does look great, I also share Roger's opinion about the handle.

The shoulder rig (although the back part isn't shown) looks very similar to one I have for carrying a pistol.

I've been experimenting with menuki to improve the grip characteristics of the knife. I have also used leather under a wrap, but wood peeking out would be beautiful. Here's a picture of the back of the shoulder rig. It is very loosely based on a K. L. Null SMZ I carry. I made it so it can be worn with either overalls or a belt, depending on the side attachment.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Hi all,

I am the lucky LEO that purchased this knife/sheath combo and let me just say that I am extremely pleased with it. I doubt very much that I could ever break it and it is so damned sharp that it practically cuts just looking at it. The sheath is an awesome compliment to it and can be worn vertical or cross draw, which is a move touch (i absolutely HATE kydex as it scratches the he'll out of everything that it touches..end of story).

the cord wrapped handle feels great and gives a very solid purchase on the knife, I wouldn't change that at all. This knife begs to be used and used it will be.

I highly recommend Scotts work..give him a shout if you need a brute of a blade that you can count on no matter what. This will not be my last blade from Scott and I recommend you get in line because once the genie is out of the bottle...prepare to wait in line.

Very nice Scott. Nice Rig and nice leather sheath also. Can't help noticing the Awesome Hardware in the Background Either:thumbup:
