Bushman spear?

Who has made and thrown one? How should I go about selecting my shaft?

I have thrown my bushman attached to a pretty narly stick and it flew well and connected with the target great. Not sure of the distance it could fly accurately though.

I would think at close range with a heavy shaft It would be a Great Spear/Weapon even on Big Game,
