Bushman vs. Bowie Bushman ??

Hi Angus, What's going to be you primary use for this knife. There's not much difference between them, The bowie may be a little more forward heavy for chopping and swinging, and you can flip a flap jack with it but other than that the difference IMO is just aesthetic. Get the regular one.
 
I have both, but I have used the original a lot more and it is at least 5 years older. What is your goal for this purchase?

I have both too, and IMHO the original one better than the bowie one. basically because like Marcelo said, one of the bowie pros is it better for chopping, but since the basic design of the bushman blade made people suffer due to blistering (if you do chopping without gloves), i say get the original one.

the other pros for the original one for me is the design of the sheath, i find it more aesthetic than the bowie. CMIIW

The knife is going to be used as a daily user while I am on my own property, clearing trails, yardwork, garden prep, and other things that pretty much amount to abuse.
I will have many tools handy(machete, chainsaw, shovels, etc.) for use also. Iam going to create a little clearing/campground on the property. About 100 yds from the house.
Kinda like my own little oasis of green.
