I had the chance to play around with the bushmasters this weekend and did a full review on my blog. I took more pictures that what I put on my review and will include all pictures here.
A summary of my review is as follows:
Blade shape - near perfect, I really like and wouldn't change it.
Grind - Works for me, I wouldn't change it.
Blade & Handle length - works good for me and is in the same range as most of my other blades.
Handle size - Just to large for me, it wasn't the thickness but more the width (see side by side image with bravo 1)
Tappered or Full Tang - I liked the full tang better
Thumb Grooves - I liked them, they allowed for a nice firm grip. If a square spine comes standard the grooves are not needed for firesteel striking. My only change would be to have the grooves closer to the hilt so I don't have to stretch my thumb out to reach them.
Handle material - I and the women of my life preferred the elegance of the iron wood.
Sheath - I liked the fancy designed sheath.
Now onto the pictures:
Tip comparison with the Koster Bushcraft.
