Bushraptor vs Reaper

Does anybody have any side-by-side shots of the Bushraptor and Reaper models?

I'm looking for a knife mainly for food prep in the kitchen and at camp: slicing apples, sausages, onions, etc. The Wharncliffe style blades look like a good option. As I write this, I also see the Shaman and Chief (and Big Kahuna!), so I'm even more torn. For this exercise, though, a 3.5" to 4.5" blade is what I'm looking for.

Did you see this in The Flea Market post #13252

12 - Old School Ladyfinger w/ ruby burlap over black liners & white pinstripes, SFT Convex on spalted 3/32” A2 - $310

It is right at 4" if it was just a hair under I would have snatched it.;)

My personal favorite for those uses would definitely be the OS Ladyfinger as David has linked.

I've done a bit of camp food prep with my Ladyfinger and always love using it.

Two votes for a Ladyfinger. Interesting. I was thinking I wanted something with less of a belly. No good reason other than I don’t have a knife with that blade shape.

I already have a couple of bushcraft style blades for wood processing and other abuse. I thought I’d look for something for more delicate tasks and to use at home.

My OS Ladyfinger is 3/32 thick steel so it's very nimble and light. I can understand the interest in something different though. I personally prefer some belly to my food processors.

The Reaper is a new model and one that I haven't handled. It has that slight parabolic shape to it, I'm not sure where the tip vs handle falls but I could see that being an issue in some typical food processing uses.

That all said, you can't go wrong with any Fiddlebacks. If you like the looks of it, you will most likely love it in hand .

Yeah, there's something about the curve of the handle which is calling to me. The Bushboot has the same appeal. Honestly, with so many options, I keep going in circles. I can see why so many people here have more than one, and seem to keep their collection rotating.

I'm using my Reaper daily to slice Biltong. Biltong for breakfast! Woot!

The Reaper has belly. Its kinda a fake wharnie. The point does drop a hair past center, but the edge is bellied.

Thanks Fiddleback Fiddleback . I don't mind a little belly. How would you describe the difference between the Bushraptor and Reaper models?

The Reaper is a very pointy knife. I mean the point is fricking wicked. It has a bit bigger handle with a fundamendally different shape as well. Its a bigger knife. They don't feel or behave similarly in the hand. And the Raptor is guardless too.
