I finally got to use my Bushwacker Mistress tonight at the fire pit.
There was a strong West wind about 20 MPH, 16 degrees and ruffly -7 with the wind chill, a perfect New England Outdoor fire night.
I've only used an NMSFNO for batoning so this was the first Mistress I have ever used and man what a difference a few inches make.
She split logs like I have never seen before, frozen logs to boot.
This blade has made me re-think my whole kit.
During the batoning I chipped off about a 1/4 of blade coating at the tip and a lot along the spine, but hey, thats what users are for...and this blade was designed for use, hard use.
I want to thank Jerry, Garth, Amy, "The Hill Stick Kid" and who ever else helped ship and make this awesome blade for me.
Cheers, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All...Especially the Troops.
May God Bless you All.
