I certainly hope that the Bushwacker will become a reality. I also hope that it has a long run so there will be a lot of them floating around for a long time on the secondary market. This is all that I ever asked for in an expedition Bushwacking knife. I have always thought that a three sixteenth of an inch thickness would make for the most practical Mistress. I have had a Zero Tolerance Mistress and felt it was a little too light. The Bushwacker being longer should be a bit heavier. I thought I would open a new thread for everyone to comment on this possible model. Let's feel the LOVE for the new Mistress. P.S. if it doesn't become a reality - it'll be quite a letdown. I want to marry a Bushwacker Mistress. Yours Truly - Lonesome Cowboy from the Brazilian jungle waiting for a mail order Mistress in the mail.

well, there's 150+ posts of pure want in the other thread, and the boss is awesome and gives us what we want. hopefully it'll appear sooner than later

I just want to know if I'm gonna be able to buy it - if this thing will be available in the next couple of months, I can halt my search for a user BM-E.

I could see myself selling off a couple of my chopper-sized blades if I get my hands on this sucker. I don't need the fatties when I've got a skinny hottie to give all my lovin' :D :D

The real reason for this post is to be able to throw out some ideas about the Bushwacker without any disrespect for the author (Jerry) in his own post. I think his announcement made a lot of sows (ladies first), hogs and piglets very happy - so nitpicking is inappropriate over there. So here is one of my suggestions that are probably irrelevant but fun just the same. People who participate on this forum are like bleacher coaches. They think they know better than the pros and here is where we spout off our little ideias as to how to win the Superbowl of knives. Background material: The FUSION Battle Mistress is one of the greatest Busse designs ever (pompous piglet proferation). It has a real cool outline. Nice clip. Really nice hump on the ridge. It also has a very nice contoured handle shape. There have been fat versions, combat versions, SE and LE versions ranging from 0,25 to 0,33 inches. There has even been a Nuclear Meltdown version. There has never been an anoerexic or skinny version. The Fusion Battlre Mistress design is probably being phased out to be replaced by a new Battle Mistress design sometime in the future. What would be a better homage to the Fusion Battle Mistress line than a skinny version. I think the Bushwacker is a really great model and is everything I've been looking for in an expedition knife, but wouldn't it be historically memorable if it was a real fusion frame... I have grown to love the fusion curves and would just like to see a skinny version - it would be kinda like the last "little sister" of a very proud family. I don't know if the boss is listening but that's my two sense and no matter what, I plan to buy the Bushwacker. P.S. it would probably be easier to manufacture because the cutting of the outline and the slabs would be ready.
Anyways, Mr. Busse, thanks for listening to the people on this forum and finally making a new 3/16 version of the Mistress. I am looking forward to acquiring at least one.

I sold my FBM and FFBM in anticipation of the Bushwacker. I know it was a risk, but with all the feedback I have seen, I think Jerry will make it. I prefer my big knives light and fast, like the M9LE and DFLE. A light fast big knife in INFI would be great. I think my TTKZ has big and heavy covered.
