I also have severl others in the works, I have really gott'en hooked on these type of blades. Some of the ones to come are clay quenched, and have sweet hammons.

I have admired your work for a while now but I have to say that blue/black handle is super nice.

Honestly, the knives are a little big for my personal tastes but look like very nice knives to me. I think these would look awesome with a hamon so I can't wait to see the pics of the ones you have still in progress.

how about this then, unfinished in the pic, forged from 3/8'' 1095. left as forged, only cleaned up enough to show the hamon. spine tapers out both ways from the ricasso. ended up giving it a resin soaked leather wrap handle. i think this measures about 16'' o.a.

Andrew those look great! I especialy like the second one shown. The unfinished blade looks like it would be one heck of a good machete/chopper.

thanks, i posted that unfinished one in the for sale, if ya want to checkl it out, ill put it in the gallery in a bit.

thanks all

OOOH OOOH OOOH!!!  me likey! wrap that tang with thick jute and epoxy it and it would look so badda:foot:!

I have also admired your work for a long time. These look fabulous! What do the sheaths look like for them?

I like them. I know our UK friends have gravitated toward the small bushcraft knives. However I still prefer the larger blades. Something like that can whack through a 2 inch tree in no time and still field dress a mouse if you have to.

thanks all

the black and blue chopper got a shoulder sling rig. the rest have just gotten heavy duty belt sheaths, i will try to add pics when i get a chance.

looks good but when it comes to bushwackin would it make it though some of the canadian side trails i wack through if it would then ill pick out your handle

THat handle looks much better than the other ones. With longer blades many people flick the handle when using them. Less stuff to cause blisters when chopping to, in my opinion.

That blue and black chopper really is tasty. Would love to see a pic of the should sling rig if you have one.
