Question for you guy's that have a Bushwacker how does it compare to the FBM? Which do you prefer? thanks

Hi Ivan, I have a CGFBM and the BWM is a lot lighter in hand. The handles feel great, ergos, batons awesome due to the thinner blade, etc...
Honestly I am on the fence about selling my CGFBM now because of this blade.

Good luck!

As with most knives, a lot will depend on your personal preference, but they are noticeably different. I like Fusion handles, so I'm not thinking of selling any of my FBMs, but you'd probably regret passing on the BWM if you like big knives. The BWM handles are sized for hands a little larger than mine, but the longitudinal grooves feel good -- they almost feel hand-shaped to me. Compared to other INFI offerings, the BWM is a lot of knife for the money.

I have 2 BWM's and a CGFBM.

The Bushwacker is one heck of a blade, excellent battening and feels good while chopping, but the CGFBM is a beast. :D

Aww hell, just buy one.

If you figure that you'll probably buy one anyway to find out what it's like, you can either get one now, or pay secondary market prices for it.

It's a question of preferences - I knew after picking up an FBM the first time that it wasn't my style. Never owned one because I'm not a chubby chaser.

If you like thin knives, buy the bushwacker. If you like fat knives buy the FBM, or FFBM or FFQWERTYWTFBBQM...

If you aren't sure which you prefer, buy 'em all, and decide later :D

To me, the FBM is one of the prettiest Busse designs. It is a heavy, thick, broad bladed chopper. The BW is lighter, slimmer, and faster. It can be used as a short machete to clear a trail. It's still heavy for a short machete, but it won't tire you as fast as the FBM would. Both knives will chop well. I prefer the BW for all-around use.

I prefer the feel of the BWM. Ergos are great and t is much lighter in the hand, but is still plenty thick to get just about any job done. The only problem with it is that they made it about 6" too short :p
