Hi Gents
Haven't been on here for a while - been chasing watches mostly !!

I like the idea of this bushwacker, I never use my INFI hard enough to justify a lot of the thicker blades but I think a skinnier mistress might just be perfect for me.

What are your thoughts on this new blade and how do you reckon it will stack up against it's fatter sisters !!

I think it could be the ideal backpacking knife that I know I'm looking for. It's infi so I know it can chop and take the abuse being "skinny" (relative term here!). I just can't wait to see how it chops.

it'll chop good, I'm excited to feel how much lighter it is in the hand to the NMFBM though - chopping with that thing is frightening !!

I want a big knife in INFI (that steel is like the 9th wonder of the world) that I can actually use

The BWM at 3/16ths thick will be plenty strong enough...I good while back I knew that I would benefit from a 3/16th large knife as a "carryable" chopper and the only guy who was doing them then that I could find was Jerry Hossum...I ended up with two of his Grand Retributions...and they work great...well...the one I have used works great...I have kept the other one as a back up and it is still pristine...

Here is a comparison shot with both of them and my NMFBM...I use the top one as it is a bit cheaper than the middle...( 154CM and S30V for the middle )

The BWM is slightly smaller in blade length but should still work well in a "machete" role...

and it is a whole lot cheaper than a Hossum....although there is a lot less work involved as well...the grinds on the Hossum would take an "age" to do in comparison...infact they are almost too nice to use...which is why I fancy the BWM in combat grade....although I have yet to pull the trigger...I keep telling myself I already have that base covered  and I am dithering over the colour combo...plus I would prefer a NMFBM sized Bushwacker...the BWM should come in at the length of my FBM Satin Combat...pictured below...
which is just a bit shorter...

However on the thickness front I don't think you have anything to worry about...knives this long and thin chop like demons...

As thin as it is it should be perfect for peeling potatoes and such. ;)

Nice Hossoms, Peter! And for a little added inspiration here's a full 18" machete in CPM3V Jerry did for me a few years ago. At 3/16" thin, the parting of the air makes a faint screaming sound when you swing it at full speed. ;)

I really like that Yard stick!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

I think the BWM will be quick in the hand and be just what alot of us were looking for. It wont chop as good as an FFBM but she will hold her own.

Will
That 3V machete is badass. I like.

Thanks Nate! I agree that the BWM holds a lot of promise. Now if we could just stretch it out a little more...

There can never be an ultimate Busse. There will always be the next one! I thought the FBM was the ultimate. Then the FFBM or FBMLE. Then the MOAB. Then the Killa Zilla. Now the latest ultimate Busse is the Bushwacker. It never ends.

You got that right. Everytime I buy a busse, I say that will be the last one.

After the BWM, if Jerry comes out with a NMFSH and Busse Muk, those will be my last busse knives...lol. :D

Oh....but we have so much more.....We still have to launch the Busse Crew designs...and this and that:p

Boss streets need to be released
too so I can stop censoring my pictures of it :p

I feel guilty every time I pull out the Blade West and Knob Creek BOSS streets. Everyone is going to love these things. I can't even make myself send it off to Mr. Brown for some kydex which I need badly.
