A walking companion, forged out of a mason hammer (around 17 oz.), the haft is 35 inch long.

Hope you like it.

The craftsmanship on that head is simply masterful. Beautiful, beautiful piece. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks guys, I appreciate. :)

Now that's a nice friend for the trail :D.
I like it alot. Now, how do I order one? :p

I'm sorry but I can not sell/take orders, I`m just a registered user.
I suggest you to contact a local craftsman (I guest at the same price as mine + shipping taxes) to make you something like, is not a big deal if you have a general idea of what you want (you can use mine as a model).
Thank you for your understanding.

nice work -- excellent handle length and looks like it would be handy hiking up in the hills or around ice.

Yes, is like a baltag (this type is common in the western Romania and is similar with the hungarian fokos, in the eastern Romania the baltag has only the axe blade).
In fact, is a hybrid of an alpenstok (the slightly curved ice pick and the long round haft) and a baltag (the small axe blade).
