Got a question for you guys about Jerry's pistol grips:

Were they ever offered in Tigerhide?

by the way, how much was the original retail price when busse grip panels were first released???

i saw some busse snakeskin 1911 grips going for around $400 on a certain auction site!!!!

the price seemed rather steep.....

I had a set in snake skin.I think I gave 65.00 for them at Blade in 06.
I would love to have a set for an officer model.

those prices are ridiculous.

from the shop they were 65 for blk, and 75 for snake, iirc. at least that is what i think i paid.

The last two sets I saw sell, both snakeskin, were $125 and $85. This was about a year ago.

$125 shipped is the highest price I have seen on these. I was the one who paid it because I had a new SIG 1911 and badly wanted the grips. No regrets!

I never saw any tigerhide, but that would be cool. The prices these guys have given are much more in line with the value of these. Anyone willing to pay much over $125 has really got a problem in my humble opinion. :D

Obviously Jerry didn't make enough of those for us.

Maybe we need to ask for more.

Yes, more and Tigerhide sounds like a great addition!

It has been long enough that there is a large market in those of us who never knew they existed back when offered. They could even have a BobTail version for the Ed Brown mod seen more frequently now.

Jerry and Garth???

While we're at it, let's ask for Hi-Power grips also.

Imagine Snakeskin on a hard chrome BHP!

I consider myself lucky to have gotten any grips. They were a special offer at Blade Show that required a secret phrase to get. They went very fast.

If I remember right, Tan Canvas, Black Canvas, Snakeskin and G10 Smoke were the only ones offered.

i had talked to AmyO about this about a month ago, and she said that new grips and tigerhide are a possibility in the future.......2 weeks maby??:thumbup::thumbup:

she said the Custom Shop was busy because of Blade but when things calmed down around there (ya right!) it was a possibility to get it going......i was thinking about ordering a set of Custom Tigerhide grips.....if the price was right...........................................................................................

Does the custom shop stay really busy after Blade? I thought all the customs that are offered at Blade are pre-made leading up to the event?

Edit: I mis-read. They were busy when you called them BEFORE Blade. Duh. I'd still be curious to know if they are too busy to take a new order...

Need officer size this time. There has been a big increase in the smaller frame 1911s.Some for the Ruger mark III .22 would also be cool.

Sweet grips!! Is that in ABA, or a BA 3?
CPABA

I bought it from Skunk very early in my days as an apprentice hog, long before it became the hot item it currently is. I of course had already turned it into a user, making some fantastic willow-whistles for my children and their cousins with it. It has a wickedly sharp convex edge that combines with the thin blade stock to make it a great slicer.

Here you can see how it differs from a regular ABALE:
