I know the length and steel type differ, but how about the feel. Which do you sword cats prefer? And why?

-S-,

Me I prefer the Waki!!! The feel is better IMHO as it seems to be more balanced...
Sold the AK's and kept the Waki's!!!

Hey Bro, that would be:
Scott Mitchell, his BF handle is steelnut
His e-mail is: kergmitchell@cox.net

I'm sure Scott is more than glad to help you out, and he makes his sheaths to how ever you want it. Good luck, and you will LIKE IT...

let me start by saying I have handled neither.

I love both. Love the looks of both.

The WAKI will be much easier to get, and for the price you can get two of the SW's as opposed to 1 of the AK's.

Same warranty too!

Holy hell, I've never even seen or heard of these before. I may just be adding a new toy to my list of wants/needs. :P

Just got mine too! I'm surprised by the heft- it is a serious hunk of steel. I need to look into some short sword techniques, but I'm very happy with it!

When I win the lottery I will buy you one!

Even if you only win $1 or $2 in the lottery? Heh heh heh.

On another totally different note, I saw some really nice Japanese chef's knives at a Shogun Steakhouse. The chef at the sushi bar showed me a catalog and his personal knives. Very nice equipment. I think it was Kino or something like that. Anyway, they are made by Katana craftsmen and from a line of Katana sword makers.

Edited:
I believe it was Korin, not Kino.

What are the specs on one of those? Blade length, handle length, blade thickness?
