So if you lived or moved to say the U.S.V.I and you got some Busse and kin what would you be looking at rust/corrosion wise on coated and non coated blades on the steels?

So basic common sense knife care and you'll be fine it seems.

That right there sums it up. If you live in a very humid environment I'd recommend oiling your uncoated INFI. Heck, I live in a humid environment and I don't oil my knives and they're fine. Just don't store them wet or in leather, or, even worse, wet in leather. SR101 is a different animal. That stuff rusts if you look at it the wrong way!

Left by the wood pile on the Oregon coast for many months.

The pile does have a roof but it was open to the elements of winter.... quick strop... good as new.
I'm not sure what model that is, so is it INFI or SR101?

Sure looks like a Safety Mutt.

Sr-101 is very prone to corrosion, so I am not surprised to some corrosion on the particular blade.

Sr-101 will show signs of corrosion, if you as much as talk about moisture.

I had my TGLB rust a bit on the uncoated part once the coating wore off. Little frog lube and a rag with elbow grease it's shiny as new. Gotta keep moisture away at all times.
