I can't reach anybody there by email or phone and it has been a while since the order cleared my credit card.... Big Y2K rush?

They actually charged your credit card for 100% of the order value, or are you talking abou a 15% downpayment? How long has it been since they charged you?

I am expecting them to hit my account for a Battle Mistress and a Steel Heart this week, so I am very interested in your issue.
 
My order wet in 3 months ago with a "ship in 6-8 weeks" promise because of how long the previous orders had taken. The charge hit my credit card (100%) a month ago. I am not panicking as I can always get the credit card money back... I just want that BATTLE MISTRESS

That's quite unusual. I got my BM October last year through Greg Namin and as I understood it, he got the knife exactly the day they promised. And I believe they charged his card just days earlier.

On the other hand there was Xmas in between and the mail is usually s l o w over the holidays. But four weeks...

My tip: keep dialing.
 
My Battlemistress and my Steelheart II arrived in the mail last week. This was quite a bit later than promised and also after the balance was charged to my credit card. The balance is not usually charged until your knives are shipped, I've been told. Jerry and Susan reported by email that the initial delay was due in part to a large military order that, understandibly enough, was givem priority. The delay after the charge to my card was due to my shipment being lost in the mail. Jerry emailed to say he was making and shipping another set. Not everyone would do that.
Yes, the delays are frustrating and it would be better, much better, if the dates promised were realistic and adhered to. But, the emails eventually do get answered and the knives eventually do arrive. From my experience, these are good folks. And the knives definately are worth waiting for.

Not lately, what'd the wife say? Sounds kinda painful anyway.

Sorry, it's Saturday night, late, and "had a battle mistress lately?" just sounds too funny.
 
...just wanted to confirm for you good Busse Combat customers that Jerry has been inundated with year end civilian and military orders. My stock order has been delayed as well...won't be receiving it until January 15th...on or about.

I know he appreciates your patience. It makes it all worth while when the box arrives however. You won't be disappointed.
