Hi guys
I'm very interested to know what you think about the Ash-1 as a user in .22 or .32, not a collector or safety queen, but as an actual hard use knife?
Now i know the .32 you could drop a bomb on and dust it off and keep on cutting, but as a user which one lends itself to being more "user freindly".
I'd love to hear from you guys that use them and know what you think
Thanks guys

I have a .18 a .22 and several .32s ...what do you want to use it for ??? The .22 is really hard to go past but as you said the .32 is bomb proof, end use would be what decided it for me..!

.32. beat the shizen out of it.

If you plan to use it id go skinny .19
Easier to tote, handle, use, should cut better, and will b as bomb proof as you need it to be. May cost a little less as well.

I like both thicknesses, hard to pick one...the .32" is quite a bit heavier when packing on a belt. Neither really feels better in hand to me....both feel perfect. I have purchased a skinny (.19") but have yet to get my hands on it. Any ASH-1 model is awesome!! Tough decision just picking one!!

I have a .22 ASH1 and believe me, it is plenty thick. I appreciate that it is thick enough to pry, dig, chop anything you want to do with it. But it is thin enough to do more basic camp tasks with. When I first got divorced it was my only kitchen knife. Processed garlic better than any other kitchen knife to date!

That being said, I would still like to get my hands on a .32 fatty some day!!!

I have a skinny and .32 CGASH1 and now the only thin I wish for is extra cash for a mid thickness one to try out.

I have a .32 and it is a Beast! You could cut a Ti ham with this sucker and keep on truckin!

I have had all 3 ... I only have a Skinny Ash now ... my reasons are relatively simple ... "weight" and "performance" ...

The .32 for all the extra weight never gave me greater chopping ability to go with it ... the knife is too small in length to do this ... and was noticeably "heavy" on the belt ...
The Ash LE at .22 was pretty much perfect ... but very expensive ... when I stripped and sharpened my Skinny Ash I felt I had the same knife for a lot less ...

I have owned both... of the two I preferred the skinny-ASH to the Fat-ASH.

Just like PeterPHWS... it was all about weight to performance ratio to me. You won't break the skinny. ;)
