Hello!!

New user here, I'm looking to buy an ASH-1. There are many different options available. my question is where is the best place to buy one where I can choose my own options?

The Ash1 will be a good first Busse. Just browse the exchange here. Read up and decide which version you want, with what options. Then keep an eye on the exchange and pounce like an Eagle when you find what you want.
 
Hey thanks guys. I will be watching the classifieds. I would like a black blade with canvass micarta magnum handle. If I see that I will jump on it!!
 
I bought my ASH-1 new on fleabay. Urban gray with tan magnum micarta grips. I had Chuck from Chuddybear Leather make up a natural tan dangler sheath with the dundee option. I really like my ASH-1!
 
I just got my first Ash 1 from a guy here on the forums, and LOVE it.
It is the perfect size for me, for most applications.
 
Skinny ASH1 with tan micarta and muddy blade was my first "big" Busse and I love it!

Great first choice!!!

I think the biggest decision is choosing Skinny vs. Combat Grade - I chose skinny as CG was just too thick for what I wanted in an all around camp/hiking blade. After having my skinny for a month or so, I cannot imagine having the thicker blade for food prep or carrying it on my belt all day - but that's just my opinion. I think the skinny is perfect!
 
I would consider the Skinny. Its still a very hefty blade and it chops as well as it slices. Either way, once you know what you want, post in the "WTB" want to buy forum and people will come out of the woodwork with them

Hahaha! I have that one in my watch list. only thing that bothers me is that it is slightly blemished.

If anyone is going to blemish my $500 knife it is going to be me lol!!


Also I dont think I like the skinny version as much
 
That knife is a CG (.320 thick) and isn't a skinny ASH. And the blemish doesn't sound that bad, seller states some smoothing on the back side of the blade near the tip from the sheath. I wouldn't let that stand between me and a nice ASH.

And as the others state, 500.00 is way too much for a black bladed / Micarta CG ASH. I would expect to pay near 500 for a CG DoubleCut / Black&Tan G10 ASH, but not that one.

If that one went for over 350.00 I would be looking elsewhere.

Yea I was just emphasizing how I want to be the one to damage a very expensive knife, I wasn't sure of what they really go for.

I am having trouble finding them for sale, but Im going to post in the WTB.

Also I have a question about the coating durability, but I've made a seperate thread for that.

I just looked into skinnies and fats a week ago. My Skinny ASH is only a few days old to me. From experience, as soon as you post WTB, you're going to see a ton of deals and options. This thread alone is probably generating a few email offers for you if I had to guess. I paid 3 bills for a black coated, tan/black G10 handled Skinny with a sheath. I'm sure you'll find what you want.
