Can anyone give me any information/pictures on this blade? I was just looking at some pictures and was really impressed. I know it is a military overrun blade but for what type of unit was it produced for. Does anyone here have one so they can give me an idea as to its balence, feel, etc. That is one cool blade! How much is the price difference between the standard and the ringless version? Any help/info/pictures appreciated.

EDIT: I have also heard that Busse Combat blades, i.e. (eu-17 magnum) have been stabbed directly into brick walls with no damage to the knife. I have not tried this and find it hard to beleive. Is this true?

i have seen it done (cinder block) and have done it myself, i also stabbed it on to an engine block and broke my wrist and dulled about an 1/8th inch of the tip.

notice i said on to not in to......

once while at a wild party in orlando, fl. i stuck a satin jack half way into a door header and hung 145lbs from it

it bent, but sprang back to true.

Thanks for the reply. What if the stab was made into the brick wall from a standing position, i.e. standing in front of the wall and doing an overhand strike into the wall. Like a spike in volleyball. Does it matter which Busse this test is done with? How would my EU-17 Magnum hold up under this test.

Scott, do you know anything about the BARFs?

As soon as a I get my precious I am going to take it for an adventure. And yes, I will be sure to post pictures. :D What are FOGO bananas?

Anyone have any info on the BARFs?

i would not stab your busse into a regular brick wall, infi is tougher than brick or pumice but will dull the tip. it will be sorta like hitting a brick wall with a rock hammer. it will chip the brick, it will not stick, it will dull the tip/edge and need a sharpening, it will not break your busse.

yes, i have to admit i know about barfing :barf:

KILLER photo! That is one incredible picture! How long is the blade in the longest BARF and how long is the serrated section? Thanks for that picture!

Only the ones with serrations are Barfs.
The reason the lower 3 don't have the finger rings,
is because they were made for citizens of Kalifornia,
where such knives are not legal.
.
Also, to Santi, and Peter, and anyone else who is looking for one.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for one to show up.
I don't know how many there are, but there aren't many.
Jerry sold them around dec./Jan. of this year during a VERY special knife buying event called "The Extravaganza" at a price well below their actual value.
.

i have never seen any for sale, i'm glad i got sixteen sets of each!

just joking, i had to run the 3 minute mile and trample a bunch of other hogs just to get one complete set :(

no regrets :D

That's what one has to do at "The Extravaganza" ??

After that the winner gets knives "at a price well below their actual value." ??

Thanks for the information everyone. When is the extravaganza this year and how does it work? Can I participate?

There is currently a big BARF for sale on another forum, email me if you would like to know where (its not me, I'm keeping mine).
