ok so everything was going well until..... youll see... first of all ill let the pics do the talking from the axe point of view. but what the pics cant show is my son running like a freakin jackrabbit from the park ranger. some lady saw him and called him in. he was like 100 yards from my cabin, i died laughing as he took off and the park rangers face when he knew he wasnt catching him. he turned and asked me, "do you know him" i replied "well i thought he was my son, but by the way he was running just there, he couldnt have come from me." the ranger laughed and said to stop "deforesting" thats how many freakin trees we cut down. enough to be considered a threat lol. anyways ill let yall look now and get back to me. and by the way. all the car hoods were so rusted out that the hood just broke like glass when the axe hit. i didnt want to show and fake crap that looked good. so tomorrow i will find me some metal.

Great start! Infi for axe seems like a waste... Wood... hardly a challenge... Get to the the steel and aluminum!

It looks beautiful out there.. show us pics of the cabin too!

i know i know, but i didnt wanna have to get a tetnus shot and that rusted crap as nothing. tomorrow ima get some sheet metal. my hand has blisters on it and so does my son.

The last three pictures are blurry, but it looks like maybe the edge has a chip in it, is that true? If it is a chip or rolled edge, did you only chop wood today? :confused:

Oh man I'm so tired of the whole "I'm worried about dissease, pain and injury and thats the excuse I'm giving to ungrateful forumites who didnt contribute at all but demand pictures...." excuse. ;)

Enjoy it! I've dreamed about testing my knives in much the same way... Not so possible in my busy life in LA.
 
yep its a chip. i only chopped wood today. BUT, my son stuck the axe into the ground and we heard a PING. and of course the tiniest freakin pebble had hit the axe causing the chip. i couldnt believe it. of all the chopping and throwing not once did i hit a rock until my son stuck it into the ground so we could clear out the area

P.S. READ THE FREAKIN CAPTIONS ON THE PICS!!! haha i did all that typing and no one read them. so you wouldnt know that i threw the axe 25 feet up into that tree and it stuck 2/3 times.

wow im actually impressed havnt had anyone cry or tell me im bad for playing with my toy

that axe is awesome, nice to see someone blow the dust off one and use it. Man I wish they came around again for sale. congrats on yours and thank you for posting the pic's:thumbup:
